Patch Pet: Princeton

He went door-to-door trying to find a home. Now you can come to him.

Princeton is a male Russian Blue variety, about 8 years old.  He was found as a stray, searching balconies for someone to love him.

This boy will just melt into your lap if you hold him. He's shy in new encounters but shows every willingness to offer his love and affection if you are like minded.  Princeton is our Ivy League boy whose main objective is to educate others in the fine art of giving and receiving love.

You can get to know Princeton and other furry friends needing homes at the , 1395 First St., next to the Ferry Landing, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., every day but major holidays.

Update:  lucked out in more ways than one.

A vet who saw Chester said that spots on his nose were caused by chronic sunburn, but when Chester went in for dental work, another vet called the spots cancerous and suggested that he be euthanized. After a biopsy, it was found that Chester had early stage squamous cell carcinoma on his nose, but it has not spread to the surrounding tissue.

Meanwhile, the family that lived on the back of the property of Chester's former owner, who had died, came to see him at the ACF. It was apparent to all that Chester and the dad had a very close bond and Chester howled when the man left.

They waited anxiously (along with the rest of us) for Chester’s diagnosis. Once they heard the positive news, they immediately said they wanted to adopt him and took him home to Imperial Beach. He adores being back “home” with his loving family and is happy to be reunited with the rabbit friends he met as an outdoor cat.
