Want to Meet Chief Froomin? You Have 3 Chances Next Week

The chief will meet with residents on the bayside, in the Village and in the Cays.

Want to talk crime? Traffic? Safety in general?

Chief Jon Froomin, the new head of Coronado's police department, was sworn in last week, but he will meet the public beginning June 6, when the city hosts the first of three coffees so residents can touch base with the newcomer.

The dates are:

  • Thursday June 6 at Cafe 1134, 1134 Orange Ave., 9:30-10:30 a.m.
  • Friday June 7 at Tartine, 1106 1st Street, 9:30-10:30 a.m.
  • Friday June 7 at Calypso Cafe, 505 Grand Caribe Isle, 1-2 p.m.

Froomin, who was part of the Foster City police, has been on the job since mid-May. Former Chief Louis Scanlon retired this month.
