Police Blotter: Peeping Tom, Smashed Windshield, and More

The Coronado Police Department reported the following arrests, traffic collisions and crimes as of May 31. If you see a crime, please report it to the police.

Arrests:

  • DUI and driving with a suspended license from a previous DUI, Escondido man, 24, 1500 block of Fifth Street, May 28.
  • DUI with .08 percent blood alcohol content, San Diego man, 42, 1400 block of Fourth Street, May 29.
  • Possession of concentrated cannabis and an outside warrant, San Diego man, 25, 1100 block of Fourth Street, May 31.
  • Alcohol-related disorderly conduct, Coronado woman, 45, 1500 block of First Street, May 26.
  • Alcohol-related disorderly conduct, Monterey, CA, man, 34, 1800 block of Strand Way, May 28.
  • Alcohol-related disorderly conduct, Coronado man, 24, 300 block of Orange Avenue, May 30.
  • Detention order, San Diego man, 18, 1000 block of Park Place, May 26.
  • DUI with .08 percent blood alcohol content, San Diego woman, 19, 1700 block of Glorietta Plaza, May 20.
  • Resisting or obstructing police officers, Santee man, 33, 1000 block of A Avenue, May 22.
  • Possession of a controlled substance, Coronado woman, 36, 100 block of A/B alley, May 22.

Traffic Collisions:

  • Pontiac Grand Prix crashed into the guardrail on southbound state Route 75. No injuries were reported. Alcohol was not a factor.

Crimes:

  • Stolen Macbook computer, Margarita Avenue, April 25-May 25.
  • Home burglary, stolen items included athletic shoes and camping gear, 1000 block of Ocean Boulevard, May 26.
  • Account fraud, 900 block of Coronado Avenue, May 23-27.
  • Smashed windshield, 200 block of Alameda Boulevard, May 24-27.
  • Missing jewelry box, lost or taken during a move, April 6-May 5.
  • Stolen cash and credit cards and account fraud, 700 block of A Avenue, Jan. 15-April 6.
  • Peeping Tom, 300 block of Orange Avenue, March 27.
  • Stolen purse with wallet and concert tickets inside, 400 block of Orange Avenue, May 22-23.
  • Vandalism on the outside dining tables, the Ferry Landing on First Street, May 30.
  • Stolen purse with iPod, cash and credit cards inside, car parked on the 1000 block of Ocean Boulevard, May 26.
  • Stolen bicycle, 900 block of Orange Avenue, May 26. Bike was unlocked.
  • Stolen bicycle, 800 block of G Avenue, May 24. Bike was locked.
