Police Blotter: Lingerie Stolen From Front Porch and Other Crimes

Crimes

  • Embezzlement: 1500 block of Orange Avenue, May 2009 to May 2013, an employment embezzled $49,000 in cash and $49,000 merchandise from the Hotel Del Coronado.
  • Burglary: 700 block of B Avenue, Oct. 3-4. Unknown suspect(s) entered vehicle and residence and stole $20 worth of CDs.
  • Burglary: 1500 block of Orange Avenue, 9:49 p.m., Oct. 8, unknown suspect(s) stole the Sony PlayStation 3 from a locked box in the arcade at the Hotel Del Coronado.
  • Burglary: 200 block of A Avenue, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Oct. 9, four guns worth a total of $3,400 and $2,200 in cash stolen from safe in residence.
  • Malicious Mischief/Vandalism: 100 block of B Avenue, 10:55 a.m., Oct. 10, gates were vandalized with black spray paint. 
  • Embezzlement: 300 block of Orange Avenue, 1 p.m., Oct. 11, stole credit cards.
  • Malicious Mischief/Vandalism: 900 block of Fourth Street, 5 p.m., Oct. 11, a SDG&E box was tagged with white marker.
  • Petty Theft: 1800 block of Strand Way, 6:30 to 8:22 p.m., Oct. 11, bike worth $3,000.
  • Petty Theft: 600 block of A Avenue, 5:25 to 5:33 p.m., Oct. 11. UPS package containing women's lingerie was stolen from porch.
  • Petty Theft: 800 block of Cabrillo Avenue, 6:51 p.m., Oct. 11. A package worth $194.97 was taken from a front porch.
  • Petty Theft: 200 block of D Avenue, Oct. 11-12, bike worth $700.
  • Petty Theft: 400 block of B Avenue, 6:51 to 9:30 p.m., Oct. 12, bike worth $450.
  • Petty Theft: 1300 block of Orange Avenue, 5:55 to 5:57 pm., Oct. 15. A white male 50-60 years old cut a bike lock and stole a bike. The victim saw the suspect leaving with his bike and chased him down. The suspect dropped the bike.
  • Petty Theft: 600 block of Orange Avenue, 3:15 to 5 p.m,. Oct. 15, phone worth $400 and $450 in cash.
  • Possession of Controlled Substance (Drugs): Navy police stopped a vehicle at the main gate to Naval Air Station North Island at 3:44 a.m., Oct. 15 and detained the occupants due to the smell of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Coronado Police evaluated and made the arrest.
  • Petty Theft: 1300 block of Ynez Place, 6:03 p.m., Oct. 15, bike worth $150.
  • Petty Theft: 300 block of I Avenue, Oct. 15-16, bike worth $250.
