Coronado Brewing Company Wins 2 Silvers, 1 Bronze at SD Beer Fest
The local competition attracted brewers from throughout the county, but also from around the world.
The Coronado Brewing Company has taken three medals in the San Diego International Beer Competition, according to Westcoastersd.com, which covers the craft beer industry.
The silvers were awarded to the restaurant and brewery for their Idiot IPA and El Borracho Brown. They also received a bronze for their Black Sails IPA.
Other local winners included Pizza Port Brewing Company in Carlsbad, Rock Bottom Brewery in La Jolla and Manzanita Brewing Company in Santee
The contest not only attracted entries from across San Diego County and the state, but also from Arizona, Utah, Colorado and Illinois. Even breweries from world beer capitals like Germany and Belgium entered.
