Patch Pet: Runner

There's a story behind Runner, who would fit well in a home with a another dog.

Runner seems to be a Manchester Terrier/Miniature Pinscher blend. He got his name because he was found running between 6th and 7th streets and A Avenue and apparently had been doing so for quite a while  He weighs 14 lbs and is estimated to be a year old.

Runner is totally into “his people.” He bonds easily and just has to be with someone.  If you have a spare lap, he's the guy to fill it. He would do best in a home with family or another dog near to reassure him that he has a forever place to call his own. Runner walks nicely on a leash and appears to get along just fine with other dogs.

Runner and other pets are available for adoption at the Coronado Animal Care Facility, 1395 1st St. Hours of operation are 9 a.m.-4 p.m., everyday but major holidays.

To check out other animals needing homes, please view our websites: pawsofcoronado.org and petfinder.com.

All our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped and current on their immunizations prior to their adoption. PAWS of Coronado would like to announce our new program, Feline Baby Boomers/Senior to Senior Adoption. Cats of 10-plus years adopted to parents 55 and over get a reduced fee of $35 for the first cat, $15 for the second.

This is a great event. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make it a fun and enrichingRead More experience for my family. We need to get the word out about this helpful event in Coronado for the future. It was a learning experience for children and adults alike. I feel better now with my daughter riding her bike on the busy streets of Coronado. Thanks again to all of the Police Officers, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts and local volunteers.
