Patch Pet: Freeway

This Chihuahua somehow survived bridge traffic. Now he needs a home.

Freeway is a Long-haired Chihuahua and weighs just over 3 pounds. He is about one and a half years old. He was found on the Coronado bridge during the rush hour.

He is getting acclimated to his new surroundings, but is still a bit shy and reserved. Freeway is a gentle soul and loves to be held. His eyes look into yours as if to say "I have had rough time of it." He needs a quieter home preferably without younger children. Come take a look at this little man and give him the chance for a new beginning.

This pup and other pets are available for adoption at the Coronado Animal Care Facility, 1395 1st St. Hours of operation are 9 a.m.-4 p.m., everyday but major holidays.
