Beach Warning: Swimmers Should Watch for Strong Currents Thursday

Beachgoers are urged to swim near lifeguards under these conditions.

Very strong currents and dangerous swimming conditions were expected in Coronado and at other beaches in San Diego County Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

“Swimmers are urged to use caution at all times and swim near a lifeguard,” according to a NWS advisory.

The agency also said surf heights at the beaches would top out at two to four feet and water temperatures would peak in the high 50s to low 60s.
