Islander Invitational Golf Tournament to Benefit Coronado Islander Sports on July 3

Wednesday July 3, the Coronado Independence Day festivities tee off with the 2013 Islander Invitational Golf Tournament at the Coronado Municipal Golf Course. The invitational will precede the Islander Alumni All-Class Reunion later that evening at the club house. Coronado High School alumni and friends are invited to participate. The inaugural tournament will feature a foursome scramble format with a shotgun start at 12:30pm. The day will include BBQ lunch, tournament play, silent auction, raffle, and after tournament awards ceremony. The Islander Sports Foundation, organizer of the Islander Invitational, will direct all tournament proceeds to Coronado Islander Sports programs. Tournament ambassadors include Randy Coutts (Islander Golf Coach) and Brian Smock (Islander alumnus, Instructor & Nationwide Tour Playing Professional). The tournament committee includes members of the Islander Sports Foundation: Steve Daluz, Michelle Gilmore, Mark Scannell and Craig Turley. Registration will open this week and is limited to thirty-six foursomes [144 tournament players].
