Coronado Golf Course Green Fees Going Up in January

Increases all impact prepaid and frequent player card users of the course in Coronado.

Green fees are increasing at the Coronado Golf Course next month. The Coronado City Council adopted a resolution on Tuesday to revise fees effective Jan. 10, 2014 and again in January 2014. This is the first price increase since October 2009.

Regular daily rate fees for week days will increase from $30 to $35, weekend/holiday fees from $35 to $40 and junior fees from $15 to $20.

The par 72 course will also introduce Coronado resident rates. Daily rate fees for residents will be $33 for week days, $38 for weekend/holiday and $18 for juniors.

(See the full rate fee structure in the photos above. These include twilight, twilight weekend, tournament, club tournament and back nine fees.)

The city said increasing fees was necessary to fund golf course operations and capital improvement projects. With the current green fee structure, the course is running on a deficit. The city said the 2013 deficit is expected to hit $53,000. The deficit is largely due to rising costs of water and energy, and the sluggish economy, it reported.
