As a resident of San Diego County since 1965, I have witnessed astonishing changes in our area; both positive and negative. Living in Ramona provides my family an opportunity to enjoy a wonderful lifestyle that includes: rural living, great schools, horseback riding and hiking on miles of open trails, touring local wineries, shopping for antiques, breakfast at family-oriented restaurants, browsing the feed stores, and flying our flag in a community that is proud to show its patriotism. I believe participating in community events and community dialogue is critical as a resident. As Vice President of the Ramona Trails Association I work with a community service group that strives to create and maintain trails for all of Ramona to enjoy.
As a member of the West Subcommittee for the Ramona Community Planning Group (RCPG) I have the opportunity to provide input into decisions that affect our town’s rural character. I am a candidate for the RCPG in the upcoming November election.
My husband and I have a family that includes 3 sons and 3 daughters and 6 grandchildren and counting... We are currently in the process of expanding our family to include a child adopted with assistance through the County of San Diego. For many years I have supported and volunteered with 4-H, Scouting, Soccer Club, Swim Team, and Dance. For the last12 years I’ve worked as a Behavioral Health Manager for Anthem Blue Cross.
Writing commentaries gives me an opportunity to share the information I learn while attending the many community meetings which are held with the purpose of planning Ramona’s future. Please share your ideas with me for improving our community’s economy, safety and rural character. You can email me at: email@example.com
