Hotel del Coronado

Flag as Inappropriate

The Hotel del Coronado has a rich history that dates back to 1888. Presidents, movie stars, royalty and dignitaries have stayed here. It has even been the backdrop for some films, including the 1958 picture "Some Like It Hot" with Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis and Marilyn Monroe. Rooms with beautiful ocean views are available, and for extra luxurious accomodations, try the cottages and villas at Beach Village. Amenities include plush terry cloth robes, flat-screen TVs with HBO, 24-hour room service, free Wi-Fi and a Nintendo GameCube for the young (or young at heart). In addition to the standard offerings, cottages feature fireplaces, soaking tubs, gourmet kitchens, pools and a minibar. Patrons can also enjoy the hotel's restaurants, retail shops and spa.
