Life 101 Boot Camp, Concerts in the Park and Surf Classes

Life 101 Boot Camp: A Life Skills Camp with Confidence and Compassion

  • Coronado SAFE will host Life 101 Boot Camp for middle school and high school students. Middle School Boot Camp will start from 10 to 11:30 a.m. High School Boot Camp will begin from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Both camps will start Monday, Aug. 12 until Friday, Aug. 16 at Coronado SAFE Office. Cost is $75.
Coronado Chamber Business Hall of Fame Party, Installation & Community Awards
  • The annual community awards event will honor fire, lifeguard and police persons of the year. The all inclusive food and drink party will kick off at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15 at The Ultimate Skybox at Diamond View Tower, 350 10th Avenue, Downtown. Price is $50, registration is required.
A Night at the Oscars with Joe Bourne
  • Experience a night at the Oscars in Coronado. The evening will feature singer Joe Bourne performing Oscar winning songs and notable nominees. The concert will start at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16 in the Winn Room at the Coronado Library.
Learn to Surf, Canoe and Sail at Crown Cove Aquatic Center
  • Southwestern College's Crown Cove Aquatic Center will offer a six-week surf and Hawaiian outrigger canoe classes. Learn how to surf or canoe at Crown Cove without registering as a Southwestern College student. Other classes available include kayaking, stand up boarding and more. A full schedule is available online. Surf classes will begin at 8:30 a.m. starting Saturday, Aug. 17.
Concerts in the Park
  • Bring your dancing shoes to the park for family friendly fun. Concerts in the Park will feature blues singer, Sue Palmer and her Motel Swing Orchestra. Concert will rock out at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 18 at Spreckels Park.
