5 Can't-Miss Events in Coronado for Dec. 9 - Dec. 15

Looking for something to do this week? Here are five can't-miss events in Coronado:

1. Holiday Concert
The CoSA Instrumental Music Conservatory along with the Coronado High School Band and Choir will be performing on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. in the CHS Performing  Arts Center, which is located at 650 D. Ave. The suggested entrance donation is $5 for the public and $3 for Coronado Unified School District students and staff.

2. The House Your Teens Built
Coronado teens are invited to make an old fashioned gingerbread house at the Coronado Library on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. Space for the event is limited. Sign up in advance the at the library's teen desk starting on Monday, Dec. 9. This event is for those in 6th-12th grade.

3. Difference Between the Y and Z  
Learn more about the Y and Z generation, while developing skills and tools for better communication, bonding, and getting things accomplished. Coronado SAFE is hosting a program with Fred Becker on Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Coronado Middle School. Registration is free. Sign up online at CoronadoSAFE.org. Free children's activities will be provided by the Coronado Rec Center—RSVP for your child(ren) by emailing Jennifer.Zajac@CoronadoSAFE.org.

4. Breakfast with Santa
The Coronado Recreation Department is hosting breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Coronado Community Center's Banquet Hall. Sign up for breakfast with the big man by calling 619-435-9260. The cost is $11 for adults and $9 for children.

5. The World Is Their Stage
CoSA Classical and Contemporary Dance Department won’t be performing to a full house this weekend, they’ll be performing to a full stage and sidewalk and lobby! In the first interactive performance of its kind in CoSA history, the “stage” is everywhere. The performance times are 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 14 and 15th, with an additional performance at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15 at Coronado Performing Arts Center located at 650 D Ave., Coronado, CA, 92118.
