Coronado Boathouse and Club Room Grand Opening - Video

Just found a new favorite place in town: The Coronado Boathouse and Club Room. Watch the Grand Opening video.

One of my new favorite places in town is the Coronado Boathouse and Club Room. It's a beautiful facility with gorgeous views, a GREAT staff, plenty of space for kayak and paddle board storage, and for kid/teen activities - not to mention lots of fun water craft to play with.  Thank you to Mayor Casey Tanaka and City Manager Blair King for the interviews.  Get yourself on down there and see for yourself...It's a wonderful place to enjoy Glorietta Bay!

The festivities continue Saturday, October 6, with a Grand Opening Festival that the whole family can enjoy. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., adults, teens and children ages 8 and older can try kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. There will be refreshments, prizes and activities for children, teens and adults as well as boating presentations.

On the evening of October 6, Recreation Services will host Coronado's first-ever "Paddle in Movie, where families can bring their lawn chairs and blankets to watch a movie from the Boathouse patio or from the sand. Experienced kayakers are invited to watch the movie from their personal craft in the bay as long as they have a lifejacket and a light.

The newly released "The Pirates! Band of Misfits animated feature will be shown on a big screen in front of the Boathouse. The film tells the story of a pirate captain and his crew's swashbuckling journey to try to win the "Pirate of the Year Award.

This is a great event. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make it a fun and enrichingRead More experience for my family. We need to get the word out about this helpful event in Coronado for the future. It was a learning experience for children and adults alike. I feel better now with my daughter riding her bike on the busy streets of Coronado. Thanks again to all of the Police Officers, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts and local volunteers.
