Video: Neil Armstrong Blue Moon Wink on Coronado Big Blue Bridge

As the second full moon of the month rose up behind the Naval Shipyard, people along the bay stopped, took pictures and remembered a World Hero, Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon.

August 31, 2012 - A Blue Moon evening and a day of remembrance of the First Man on the Moon, Neil Armstrong.  A giant bicycle rider (with no helmet!) traversed the Coronado Bridge as the second full moon of August lit up the San Diego Bay and winked its way above the bridge.

This is a great event. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make it a fun and enrichingRead More experience for my family. We need to get the word out about this helpful event in Coronado for the future. It was a learning experience for children and adults alike. I feel better now with my daughter riding her bike on the busy streets of Coronado. Thanks again to all of the Police Officers, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts and local volunteers.
