Lance Wasn't Only SuperFrog: Hundreds Shine on the Silver Strand

A record 800 entrants were slated for 34th annual half-Ironman distance triathlon in Coronado.

 

With about 800 entrants, a record for the Silver Strand event, Sunday's 34th annual SuperFrog Triathlon had dozens of prize sections—including age groups from 18-24 to 80-84 as well as Clydesdales, Athenas, Challenged Athletes, SEAL divisions and relays.

The total prize purse was $7,000, with $1,250 for the first male and female, $750 for second and $500 for third. Race results were to be posted here. The top 10 women, men and relays are attached as a PDF.

Special awards were planned, including the Diane Ridgeway Award for Perseverance, Moki Martin Inspirational Award for the volunteer who demonstrates hard work, motivation and is an example to those around him and NSW Commodore’s Perpetual Team Trophy for entrants from the same NSW command.
