It was a little cool and damp for the , but top runners and weekend warriors still came out to make strides, show off their best Cupid workout wear and try to claim the crown that goes to anyone who sets a course record.
In the women’s race, one local, Cassie Bando, finished in the top 10. No locals were among the top finishers on the men’s side (about a quarter of the 2,000 entrants were from Coronado, according to organizers). Proceeds from the race benefit the Islander Sports Foundation and the Wampler Foundation.
