Chargers Launch 'Bolts for the Brave' Military Fan Club

A portion of the money raised from club memberships will benefit the Armed Services YMCA.

The San Diego Chargers were expected to launch a military fan club Tuesday – a first in the NFL – in conjunction with AT&T and the Armed Services YMCA.

All Chargers fans can enroll in the so-called “Bolts for the Brave” club for $49.99 a year, according to the team's website.

In exchange, members will receive a personalized membership certificate and welcome letter, a "camo" ball cap, velcro patch, dog tags and a 15-percent discount at the Chargers Team Store at Qualcomm Stadium.

This is a great event. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make it a fun and enrichingRead More experience for my family. We need to get the word out about this helpful event in Coronado for the future. It was a learning experience for children and adults alike. I feel better now with my daughter riding her bike on the busy streets of Coronado. Thanks again to all of the Police Officers, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts and local volunteers.
