Coronado Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Jeffrey Felix showed off the functionality and ease of navigating the new website, completed in the last month, at Wednesday's month school board meeting.

The site, which cost approximately $50,000, was in development over the past year.

Felix pointed out the power of the search function on the site. The search box allows visitors to easily find exactly what they are looking for.

Across the top of the page are tabs for district information, district departments, faculty directories, parent and student resources and contact information.

The center of the page prominently displaces each of the district's school's individual pages. One click takes you to Silver Strand Elementary School or Coronado High School's individual pages.

Across the bottom of the page are the calendar, news section and the student and parent portal. The calendar is searchable by day or month and for the entire district or school level.
