Islanders Take Third CIF Boys Lacrosse Title in Four Years

Coronado upsets The Bishop's School of La Jolla in San Diego section Division II contest.

With three goals from Hunter Corpus, Coronado upset No. 1 seed The Bishop’s School of La Jolla 6-3 to claim its third CIF San Diego section Division II boys lacrosse title in four years. Brian Anglin, Chris LaPeyre and Alexander Evans-Pfeiffer scored for the Knights in Saturday’s game under the lights at Westview High School.  “We just pulled together as a team,” Hunter told U-T San Diego. “We were pushing each other all the way through the game. We wanted it really bad.”

Congrats to the Islanders. It's a shame suspect officiating (crease violation) stole away what could have been another exciting finish for San Diego lacrosse fans.
