Scripps Institute of Oceanography's Professor Douglas Bartlett will share his experience working on the expedition to the Mariana Trench and the challenges of deep sea exploration.
About the Presenter:
Doug Bartlett is professor of marine microbial genetics and has been associated with Scripps since 1989. His research focuses on deep-sea microbiology, life in methane-rich marine sediments at the ocean bottom, and the environmental adaptations of pathogenic bacteria.

We need to get the word out about this helpful event in Coronado for the future. It was a learning experience for children and adults alike. I feel better now with my daughter riding her bike on the busy streets of Coronado. Thanks again to all of the Police Officers, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts and local volunteers.
