Coronado Unified School District and grade-level promotions took place this week, but before the 2011-12 school year passes completely into memory, let's take a moment to acknowledge the efforts of some youngsters and teens.
These students demonstrated excellence during the year, whether in academics, arts or athletics, and some showed extra dedication by making the commitment to come to class everyday.
Each Coronado campus distributed a variety of honors, often with the community's help. Through Thursday, Coronado High, Coronado School of the Arts, Palm Academy, Coronado Middle and Silver Strand Elementary responded to Patch's request for lists of awards.
