Reader's Choice: St. Patrick's Day

We have a tie – a testimony to the variety of St. Paddy's choices you have in Coronado.

is … a tie!

Enjoy your day for the Irish at or the for all you'd expect from a day of celebrating the Emerald Isle (with a little March Madness thrown in for good measure, though Notre Dame plays Friday, not Saturday, alas).

And be aware, there's no shortage of things to do in Coronado for the holiday known for green beer, green rivers and green garments (if you want to avoid a mean pinch).

Along with McP's and the Firehouse, enjoy celebrations at:

... or participate in green-themed fundraisers:

St. Baldrick's Foundation at Bow Ties & Hair Cuts

CoSA Luck O' the Arts Dinner

Next up: Best Golf Course, then Best Breakfast Spot (I like this one – I sense a scramble for the finish ... sorry, couldn't resist!)

About this column: The best of anything and everything Coronado in 2012, based on your votes. Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Readers are encouraged to vote only once per survey, per Patch.

This is a great event. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make it a fun and enrichingRead More experience for my family. We need to get the word out about this helpful event in Coronado for the future. It was a learning experience for children and adults alike. I feel better now with my daughter riding her bike on the busy streets of Coronado. Thanks again to all of the Police Officers, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts and local volunteers.
