USS Carl Vinson to Deploy Nov. 30

Aircraft carrier will depart North Island in one week.

 

The USS Carl Vinson, the aircraft carrier , will go back out for deployment in one week.

The Vinson, based at North Island, will be joined on its departure Nov. 30 by Carrier Air Wing 17, the guided-missile cruiser USS Bunker Hill and guided-missile destroyer USS Halsey.

The ships will be deployed in the western Pacific and near the Middle East, according to the Navy.

The Vinson arrived home June 15, and its crew was told to be ready to go to sea again before the end of the year.
