Traffic Calming Workshop To Be Held Monday in Coronado

The workshop will focus on how to improve traffic calming on Third and Fourth streets in Coronado.

Editor's Note: The meeting is Monday, Dec. 9. It is not Monday, Dec. 2 as previously indicated.

Traffic impacts all of us. Attend a public workshop to provide input on how to improve traffic calming on Third and Fourth streets in Coronado on Monday. Your input is helpful.

The workshop will be from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Nautilus Room in the Coronado Community Center at 1845 Strand Way.

The city said the input will help form the basis for a study to identify strategies to reduce the speed of the traffic, "thereby increasing vehicular and pedestrian safety."

The study will also look at potential impact of these strategies on surrounding streets.

In the meanwhile, residents and members of the public are encouraged to complete a survey at surveymonkey.com/s/F8PC2QW. The deadline to participate in the survey is Dec. 1.
