A Navy SEAL was killed in combat in Afghanistan by a gunshot wound Thursday, according to the Navy Times.
Matthew G. Kantor, 22, of Gillette, NJ, served on a Virginia-based Naval Special Warfare Unit, according to the report.
Capt. Robert Smith, who leads Naval Special Warfare Group Two, remembered Kantor as “a true warrior.”
