How to Help Families of SEALs Who Died

The Huffington Post has a slideshow packed with details about several of the 30 Americans killed when a NATO helicopter was taken down by Taliban insurgents Aug. 6.

Also, if you want to help their surviving loved ones, several groups accept donations for lost or wounded troops, including two, the Navy SEAL Foundation and the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, for special forces.

(The NSF also maintains a page with photos of the fallen from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The helicopter casualties have not yet been added.)

One of those killed last week, Christopher Campbell of Jacksonville, NC, had made plans and requested that donations be directed in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
