Find Out What Is Closed in Coronado on Thanksgiving

Find out which services and offices will be open on Thursday and Friday in Coronado.

Most non-public safety facilities in the City of Coronado will be closed on Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Coronado Police and Fire will be staffed for the holiday. Public Services will be on call Thursday and Friday to respond to emergencies. 

Certain City of Coronado departments and services are open Friday, some with varying hours of operation, but all non-public safety facilities are closed on Thanksgiving Day:

  • The Library will be closed Thanksgiving Day and Friday, and will close early on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 6 p.m.
  • The Community Center and pool will be closed Thanksgiving Day but on Friday, Nov. 29, the Community Center will open at 8 a.m. and the pool at 9 a.m.
  • The Coronado Tennis Center scheduling office will be closed on Thanksgiving Day but the courts will be open for walk-on tennis. The office and courts will be open Friday. There will be no Jr. Program next week.
  • Since school is out next week, the Skatepark will be open from 10 a.m. to dusk every day, except for Thanksgiving Day when it will be closed.
  • The Club Room and Boathouse is closed only on Thanksgiving Day.
  • Public Services crews will not sweep streets Thanksgiving Day or Friday.
  • EDCO will not perform regular residential trash collection on Thanksgiving Day and as a result there will be a one day residential delay in service.
  • The Coronado Municipal Golf Course is open on Thanksgiving Day.
