‘Embrace the Suck:’ A Team Faces the Rigors of Navy SEAL Training

ESPN documents the visit, as part of the University of Michigan football team's senior leadership trip.

Many collegiate teams spend time at the Naval Amphibious Base with Navy SEALs giving them a dose of their special brand of training.

But not many bring along ESPN for the ride. The Mighigan Wolverines changed that May 25 when seniors from the football team embarked on a leadership trip to Southern California. It included a stop in Coronado that was documented by ESPN.com.

The team engaged in a three-hour training session so intense that one SEAL instructor simply warned them to “embrace the suck,” as ESPN reported.

SEALs are not immune to weather blues either, according to the report, blaming “Grey May” for the dreary skies.
