Rep. Peters Appears, Hosts ‘Congress on Your Corner’ at Library

Residents took the opportunity to talk over big issues with Coronado's newly elected representative to Congress.

Rep. Scott Peters (D-La Jolla) appeared at the Coronado library Saturday morning to touch base with constituents and hear their concerns.

He was available to take on the big issues – the budget cuts you've been hearing so much about in the news, how things might affect Naval Base Coronado and the other Navy installations thoroughout the region or even, close to home, how the federal budget affects teachers at your schools.

But there's other things he was available to discuss, from nominations for awards to visits to our nation's capital.
