Noise Alert: Navy Training to Include Gunfire, Boat Exercises

The activities will continue off and one through next month.

The Navy will conduct training that includes blank gunfire and small boats operating in San Diego Bay and off the beaches south of the Naval Amphibious Base four days this week.

Mnday and Tuesday the alerts apply to exercises on the bay. Wednesday and Thursday they apply to ocean activities.

The alerts apply between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

There is no noise warning for Friday. The alerts will be in effect off and on through April 4.

In a news release, the Navy said officials recognize “the importance of being good neighbors with the local communities and makes every effort to abate noise when possible.”
