Congressman Peters Joins NOH8 Campaign

Rep. Scott Peters (D-San Diego) got cheeky for marriage equality in Washington, D.C. recently. Peters was one of 67 members of Congress to pose in third annual NOH8 On The Hill campaign.

Peters posed with NOH8’s face tattoo and duct tape. He was joined by Rep. Juan Vargas (D-San Diego), Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Beverly Hills) and 13 other members of Congress from California.

NOH8 Campaign co-founders Adam Bouska and Jeff Parshley released the photos on Monday, just as the Supreme Court is due to deliver its decisions the Defense of Marriage Act and California's Proposition 8.

“As a longtime supporter of LGBT rights and marriage equality, I am proud to support the NOH8 campaign against discrimination,” Congressman Peters said in a statement. “All Americans deserve equal treatment.”
