City Seeks Bids for Pedestrian Signals and 10th St. Reconfiguration Project

Coronado City Manager Blair King released the following announcement in his weekly report Friday.

The Accessible Pedestrian Signals and Tenth Street Reconfiguration Project was advertised this week with bids due on February 27.

The project will include installation of pedestrian countdown indicators at all signalized intersections to inform pedestrians of the time remaining to cross the street.

In addition, the pedestrian push buttons will provide audible indications as to when it is safe to cross the street.

The project also will include striping modifications and signal adjustments to improve the operation and efficiency of the traffic signal at the intersection of Tenth Street and Orange Avenue.

Once construction begins, it will take about 45 days to complete.
