Airport Authority Hosting Community Meeting on Naval Outlying Landing Field in IB

The Airport Authority is hosting a public community meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at the Marina Vista Community Center, 1075 Eighth St., in Imperial Beach.

The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority has provided notification that it is in the process of preparing an Airport Land Use Compatibility Plan for Naval Outlying Landing Field Imperial Beach.

The Airport Authority is hosting a public community meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at the Marina Vista Community Center, 1075 Eighth St., in Imperial Beach. The meeting will explain the plan's components and process to the public.

No part of Coronado is located within the noise, safety or overflight areas of this plan; however, Coronado is within the FAA-regulated airspace area of the Landing Field, which currently exists, and is independent of the plan.

According to the Airport Authority, there will be no new impacts for Coronado as a result of the Landing Field's Land Use Plan.
