With the airing of the Dr. Phil show on Rebecca Zahau , national media interest in the Spreckels mansion case has jumped again.

Zahau body was found at the mansion July 13, two days after her boyfriend's young son was injuried in a fall at the residence. The child died three days after Zahau.

Investigators determined Zahau hanged herself in despair over the boy's dire condition. She was found nude, bound and gagged.

Her family rejects the finding of suicide and wants a new investigation to determine if someone killed Zahau. Bremner acknowledged to the Daily Beast that if a new probe isn't launched the family could pursue a wrongful death lawsuit.

Bremner argues, however, his argument was not acceptable grounds for re-opening a case and that her exploration of Zahau's death has raised serious enough issues to warrant a new look.
