Sentencing Scheduled for Former Commodore at Yacht Club, Convicted of Molestation

Sentencing is scheduled for Thomas Garrett, the former commodore at the Coronado Yacht Club, on Friday, Jan. 17 at the South Bay Courthouse in Chula Vista.

Garrett, a retired firefighter and resident of Chula Vista, was convicted of molesting a neighbor girl. He was arrested Feb. 3, 2012 on a warrant stemming from accusations made in 2011 by the alleged victim's mother.

His one-year tenure at the Yacht Club ended in 2010.

He had a one year stint as commodore ... he should be called the FORMER FIREFIGHTER ACCUSED OF MOLESTATION not the former Commodore.. who even knows what a commodore is or was? So funny how this stuff gets spun by the media!!!

Firefighters can afford to join yacht clubs? Thats gotta be a hell of a pension. And "the commodore" would be expected to have a real sweet ride
