School Principal's Car Vandalized, Annoying Phone Call in Sheriff's Blotter

Assault with a deadly weapon incidents were reported Dec. 16.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department Imperial Beach substation reported the following arrests and crimes from Dec. 11-17. If you see a crime, please report it to the Sheriff's Department.

 

Dec. 16

2:21 a.m., assault with a deadly weapon reported in an alley near Emory Street. Four victims, two with severe laceration

3:35 p.m., 39-year-old man arrested for possession of controlled substances on Grove Avenue

4:13 p.m.,  simple battery reported at the corner of Seacoast Drive and Dahlia Aveune

8:07 p.m., assault with a deadly weapon on Delaware Street.


Dec. 14

12:43 a.m., 42-year-old man arrested for carrying a concealed dirk or dagger on 13th Street

3:05 a.m., 37-year-old man arrested for possession of controlled substances on Palm Avenue

8:02 a.m., motorcycle reported stolen on 11th Street. Stolen vehicle worth an estimated $11,000; an additional $350 in property was also reported stolen

11:46 a.m., simple battery reported on State Route 75

2:08 p.m., vehicle burglary reported on Calla Avenue. Glasses, clothing, electronics and other items reported stolen worth an estimated $2,210

2:54 p.m., identity theft case reported on 4th Street

4:12 p.m., identity theft case reported on Imperial Beach Boulevard

6:30 p.m., 30-year-old man arrested for possession of unlawful paraphernalia and possession of controlled substances on 13th Street. 37-year-old man arrested for possession of controlled substances on 13th Street


Dec. 13

5:59 p.m., annoying phone call of a threatening or obscene nature reported on 14th Street


Dec. 12

10:12 a.m., residential burglary reported on Imperial Beach Boulevard. Items stolen worth an estimated $2,500

4:40 p.m., grand theft from motor vehicle reported on Florida Street. Purse, wallet, ID and other items reported stolen worth an estimated $1,224

7:37 p.m., petty theft from vehicle reported on Ebony Avenue. Stolen automotive parts worth an estimated $100

12:10 p.m., vehicle theft reported on Imperial Beach Boulevard. Car stolen worth an estimate $10,000. Items stolen with the car worth an estimated $2,490

Dec. 11

6:38 a.m., vehicle theft reported on Calla  Avenue. Sports utility vehicle reported stolen worth an estimated $3,000

8:41 a.m., vehicle theft reported on Donax Avenue.

1:01 p.m., vehicle theft reported on 9th Street. Sports utility vehicle reported stolen worth an estimated $3,000

10:15 p.m., residential burglary reported on 9th Street. Video games, electronics and other items reported stolen worth an estimated $1,100

 

The following arrests or incidents were not detailed in previous blotters but were reported in the most recent blotter.

 

Dec. 10

1:03 a.m., 29-year-old man arrested for driving under the influence, hit and run with property damage, failure to provide financial responsibility upon request by peace officer at collision and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level of 0.01 or more while on probation for DUI in an alley near Georgia Street

2:05 p.m., grand theft reported on Bonito Avenue. Earrings, necklaces and bracelet reported stolen worth an estimated $1,800

5:23 p.m., vandalism reported on Ebony Avenue, with an estimated $60 in damage to automotive parts

 

Dec. 7

2:50 a.m., 62-year-old woman arrested for driving under the influence and pricing with a suspended or revoked license on 13th Street


Dec. 6

3:52 p.m., knowingly using personal identifying info to commit a violation on Florence Street


Nov. 15

1:39 p.m., vandalism reported at Mar Vista High School, with an estimated $13,000 in damage to Principal Wes Braddock's vehicle reported

Nov. 10

12:21 p.m., vehicle burglary and petty theft reported by four victims on Daisy Avenue. Miscellaneous items reported stolen worth an estimated $555


Oct. 31

11:24 a.m., 60-year-old woman cited and released for shoplifting at Wally's Marketplace on Palm Avenue. About $10 in consumable goods stolen and recovered
