Police Blotter: Thief Takes House Keys from Car, Removes Jewelry from Home

Crimes

  • Appropriation of Lost Property: 1300 block of Ynez Place, 4 p.m., Sept. 21.
  • False Impersonation: 800 block of Margarita Avenue, Sept. 23 to Sept. 30, unknown suspect used victim's credit card to place two online orders totaling $2,920.
  • Petty Theft: 600 block of D Avenue, 8:30 a.m. to 2:20 p.m., Sept. 24, bike worth $220 and lock.
  • Petty Theft: 600 block of D Avenue, 7:55 a.m. to 2:10 p.m., Sept. 26, bike worth $110 taken from rack at high school.
  • Burglary: 1700 Strand Way, 3 to 5 p.m., Sept. 27, wallet containing cash, credit cards and ATM card taken from rented vehicle.
  • Annoying Phone Call: Obscene/Threatening: 200 block of Orange Avenue, 7:50 a.m., Sept. 27.
  • Malicious Mischief/Vandalism: 1000 block of Ocean Boulevard, Sept. 27 to Sept. 28, two public benches were spray painted.
  • Malicious Mischief/Vandalism: 1100 block of Orange Avenue, Sept. 27 to Oct. 30, business and mailbox were spray painted.
  • Burglary: 1000 Adella Avenue, Sept. 27 to Oct. 2, unknown suspect entered residence and took $4,035 worth of jewelry and electronics.
  • Petty Theft: 900 block of Ocean Avenue, 2 to 3:30 p.m., Sept. 29. Unknown suspect took unattended backpack from beach containing three cellphones, sunglasses, cash and keys worth a total of $1,570.
  • Grand Theft: 1200 First Street, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., Sept. 30, camera worth $1,200, lens worth $1,000 and camera bag worth $100.
  • Malicious Mischief/Vandalism: 200 block of Alameda Boulevard, Sept. 30 to Oct. 2, mirror broken off vehicle.
  • Petty Theft: 300 block of F Avenue, 10:15 to 10:40 a.m., Oct. 1. Unknown suspect(s) entered unlocked vehicle parked at the Coronado Municipal Pool and removed keys and vehicle registration from a car. With the keys, the suspect entered a residence and stole a cellphone worth $659 and jewelry worth $100.
  • Petty Theft: 300 block of D Avenue, noon to 4 p.m., Oct. 1. Keys hidden outside an apartment were stolen.
  • Malicious Mischief/Vandalism: 500 block of Second Street, Oct. 1 to Oct. 2, mirror broken off vehicle.
  • Burglary: 600 block of Margarita Avenue, 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m., Oct. 3, suspect used unknown means to enter residence and take diamond ring worth $4,000.
  • Petty Theft: 1000 block of Ocean Boulevard, 2 to 5 p.m., Oct. 4, bike worth $200.
  • Petty Theft: 1300 block of Ocean Avenue, 1:39 to 1:50 p.m., Oct. 4, four pairs of earrings worth $160 taken from Earth, Wind & Sea.
