Police Blotter: Stolen Kayaks, Missing Boat, 5 DUIs

The Coronado Police Department reported the following arrests, traffic collisions and crimes as of May 25. If you see a crime, please report it to the police.

Arrests:

• DUI and driving with willful disregard for safety, Coronado man, 53, 1700 block of Glorietta Plaza, May 16.
• DUI with blood alcohol content of .08 percent, Chula Vista man, 19, 400 block of B Avenue, May 19.
• Battery, San Diego man, 20, 800 block of Orange Avenue, May 21.
• Biking while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, Coronado man, 19, 1000 block of 10th Street.
• DUI with blood alcohol content of .08 percent, San Diego woman, 19, 1700 block of Glorietta Plaza, May 20.
• Drug possession, Coronado woman, 36, 1000 block of A/B alley, May 22.
• Grand theft from a person, battery on a spouse or cohabitant, and injuring wireless communication device in emergency, male, 23, 100 block of Orange Avenue, May 21.
• Outside warrant, Coronado man, 26, 700 block of Orange Avenue, May 23.
• DUI with blood alcohol content of .08 percent, San Diego man, 28, 300 block of Pomona Avenue, May 14.
• DUI with blood alcohol content of .08 percent, Coronado man, 26, 700 block of Orange Avenue, May 23.
• Drug possession, possession of more than 28.5 grams of marijuana for sale, and driving with a suspended license, Coronado man, 24, 1200 block of Fifth Street, May 11.

Traffic Collisions:

• Ford Explorer and a bicyclist, 1 injury, Coronado Avenue at Alder Street, May 4. Injury included minor cuts on right knee, left inner thigh and hand and complaint of head pain.

Crimes:

• Stolen bicycle, 700 block of C Avenue, May 19. Bike was unlocked.
• Stolen 33-foot Sea Ray boat, Antigua Court, April 25.
• Stolen bicycle, front yard on 900 block of F Avenue, May 19. Bike was unlocked.
• Stolen Ford Focus, 1200 block of Second Street, May 16.
• Stolen bicycle, Coronado Skate Park, May 23. Bike was locked and chained to a signpost overnight. 
• Account fraud, 700 block of G Avenue, May 13-18.
• Smashed windows, stolen purse with cell phone and keys inside, car parked on 1000 block of First Street, May 21.
• Smashed windows, car parked on 1300 block of First Street, May 21.
• Grand theft from a person and battery on a spouse or cohabitant, 100 block of Orange Avenue, May 21-22.
• Stolen bracelets, Hearts by the Sea at the Hotel del Coronado, May 23.
• Stolen kayaks, dock behind Tunapuna Lane, May 21-22.
