Police Blotter: Coronado Lawn Bowling Club Vandalized, Again

This is the second time the bowling green was vandalized within two weeks time. The first incident took place between 5 p.m., Dec. 23 and 8:50 a.m., Dec. 24.

Coronado Police released these reports Jan. 14:

Crimes

  • Forgery: A Coronado man reported fraudulent charges on his credit card and bank card totalling $11,369.51 from January to August 2011.
  • Petty Theft: An unknonwn suspect(s) stole a package containing to media tablets from Postal Unlimited on the 100 block of C Avenue between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., Dec. 17.
  • Stolen Vehicle: An unknown suspect(s) stole a 2005 Kia Sodona from the 1700 block of Avenida del Mundo between 9 p.m., Dec. 30 and 11 a.m., Dec. 31. This vehicle was later recoverd by the San Diego Sheriff's Department.
  • Grand Theft: An unknown suspect(s) entered a boat near the 1600 block of Strand Way and stole $2,150 in electronics between Jan. 1-10.
  • Petty Theft: An unknown suspect(s) stole a bicycle valued at $100 from the 1800 block of Strand Way between Jan. 2-3.
  • Petty Theft: An unknown suspect(s) stole a locked bicycle valued at $800 from the 1200 block of First Street between 4:45 and 6:45 p.m., Jan. 3.
  • Petty Theft: An unknown suspect(s) stole a bicycle valued at $150 from the 900 block of Orange Avenue between Jan. 3-4.
  • Petty Theft: An unknown suspect(s) stole a bicycle valued at $90 from a driveway in the 1400 block of Wake Road between 5 and 8:15 p.m., Jan. 4.
  • Malicious Mischief/Vandalism: An unknown suspect(s) sprayed white paint on the sidewalk at Tidelans Park in the 2000 block of Mullinix Drive between 9 and 9:10 a.m., Jan. 4.
  • Vandalism: An unknown suspect(s) pulled up 14 plants from surrounding flowerbeds and threw them onto the green at the Coronado Lawn Bowling Club on the 1000 block of Seventh Street between 2 and 7:52 a.m., Jan. 4.
  • Fraudulent Use of Access Card or Account Information: A Coronado man forgot his debit card in an ATM on the 800 block of Orange Avenue between 9:30 and 9:50 a.m., Jan. 5. An unknown suspec(s) has since stolen $200 from his checking account.
  • Burglary: An unknown suspect(s) entered a locked underground garage and stole bicycle on the 1000 block of First Street between Jan. 5-10.
  • Petty Theft: An unknown ssuspect(s) stole a bicycle valued at $500 from a rack on the 900 block of C Avenue between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m., Jan. 7.
  • Malicious Mischief/Vandalism: An unknown suspect(s) sprayed black paint on a wall of Coronado Mini Storage on the 700 block of Third Street between Jan. 9-10.
  • Petty Theft: An unknown suspect(s) stole a bicycle valued at $300 from the 800 block of Orange Avenue between 2 and 4:25 p.m., Jan. 10.
  • Stolen Vehicle: An unknown suspect(s) stole a 1996 Honda Accord from the 800 block of D Avenue between 2:30 p.m., Jan. 9 and 12:05 a.m., Jan. 10.
  • Stolen Vehicle: An unknown suspect(s) stole a 2013 Honda CBR 600 motorcycle from the 1400 block of Second Street between 7:30 p.m., Jan. 9 and 7 a.m., Jan. 10.
  • Petty Theft: An unidentified female stole credit cards and $100 in cash from a wallet of a victim on the 900 block of Orange Avenue between 12:08 and 12:18 p.m,. Jan. 11.
