A 57-year-old Coronado man who died after while sailing with friends in San Diego Harbor in July drowned, authorities said.
Autopsy results released by the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office showed 's cause of death was drowning with acute alcohol intoxication as a contributing condition.
Wood fell into the bay near National City about 4:15 p.m. July 28, while sailing with two friends, according to the the Medical Examiner's Office.
One of the other occupants of the 36-foot sailboat radioed for help, and Navy security personnel and San Diego Harbor Police pulled Wood's body from the water.
