89-Year-Old Resident Involved in Pedestrian Accident
Coronado Police said the 89-year-old woman was transported to a hospital Monday afternoon.
An 89-year-old Coronado resident was taken to a trauma hospital after a pedestrian accident near the 1000 block of Ninth Street on Monday afternoon.
Coronado Police said the investigation shows that she entered the street in between two parked cars.
"Traffic investigators are trying to determine if the moving vehicle actually struck her or she just fell back trying to move out of the way of the vehicle," said Lea Corbin, a spokesman for the Coronado Police.
Traffic was closed in both directions in the 1000 block of 9th St. near Orange Avenue following the accident. Coronado Police were looking for independent witnesses after the accident.
