The Headquarters at Seaport District and USO San Diego Unite for Military Families this Holiday Season

The Headquarters at Seaport District, the newly revitalized Old Police Headquarters, will host a three-week fundraising and donation program for USO San Diego to benefit active-duty military families this holiday season. The fundraising program commenced at The Headquarters on Nov. 29 with the lighting of the red, white and blue-decorated holiday tree, “The Giving Tree,” in the open-air courtyard alongside USO San Diego officials, local dignitaries and military families.

The Giving Tree lighting ceremony featured performances by the color guard and children’s choir, as well as complimentary hot chocolate and candy canes, courtesy of Starbucks.

To participate in the program, which runs through noon on Christmas Eve, visitors to The Headquarters can donate gifts and make donations that will benefit more than 1,000 families served through USO San Diego. A gift drop bin will be placed in front of The Giving Tree to collect unwrapped toys and gift cards for children up to age 18. USO San Diego volunteers will also be on hand to accept monetary donations. Donations of $100 or more will receive a special USO San Diego and The Headquarters-branded ornament.
