Stephen Vavrus of the Center for Climatic Research in Madison, WI, is among a group of scientists who contend that extreme weather—like Tuesday’s twisters in Texas—is an outgrowth of man-made climate change, aka global warming. In the attached video, Vavrus argues that we are now witnessing the immediate effects of climate change in the growing number of floods, droughts, snowstorms, heat waves and other unusual weather events. This is a great event. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make it a fun and enriching…Read More experience for my family. We need to get the word out about this helpful event in Coronado for the future. It was a learning experience for children and adults alike. I feel better now with my daughter riding her bike on the busy streets of Coronado. Thanks again to all of the Police Officers, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts and local volunteers.
