Own a Piece of History: USS Coronado Commemorative Banners

To continue the celebration of the commissioning of the USS Coronado, the City of Coronado is offering for sale the USS Coronado Commemorative Banners that hung on light poles along Orange Avenue during the recent Commissioning season.

Destined to be a collector’s item, these bright and attractive 30” x 72” banners may now be purchased through the MainStreet, Ltd. office located at 1013 Park Place, Coronado for $75 each on a first come, first serve basis.

The USS Coronado is the third Navy ship to be named after the Crown City. The 418-foot high-speed trimaran, built in Mobile, Alabama, is a versatile, new generation of combat ship capable of 40+ knots and was commissioned in Coronado on April 5, 2014.
