James D. Britton, who was based at the Naval Amphibious Base during his six years in the Navy, died May 27, according to Legacy.com. He was 72.
The Oklahoma native's naval career took him to Japan, Vietnam and Korea. He lived in Farmington, NM.
He was a father of one and stepfather of two and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Services were held Friday.
