Coast Guard Rescues Boaters Off Coronado

The boaters were aboard a 20-foot pleasure boat called Eat & Run.

The U.S. Coast Guard rescued three boaters two miles off Coronado on Friday morning after their 20-foot boat began taking on water.

The Coast Guard, a good Samaritan, the Harbor Police and San Diego Lifeguards all responded to the call and an urgent marine information broadcast to mariners was issued.

The boaters were transported and their boat was towed to Shelter Island, according to the Coast Guard, and cause of the flooding was unknown Saturday morning.
