New Jewelry Artists at Austin's Gallery

Austin's Gallery welcomes back jewelry designer, Kate Purdy, and introduces three new talented artists to the gallery.

Hi Everyone!

I am very excited to announce that we have one popular artist returning to Austin's Gallery, as well as three new artists joining the gallery for our summer season.

Kate Purdy of Island Bangles has rejoined Austin's Gallery.  Most of you are familiar with Kate's lovely vintage and whimsical pieces using ocean themes, dragonflies and butterflies.  To see more of her work you can login to www.Islandbangles.com or come by our gallery to see her work in person.

A new artist to Austin's, Yvonne Cheah-Blais, is exhibiting some beautiful and exotic beaded wire earrings with an Asian flair.  Each pair of earrings can take her up to 2 to 2.5 hours to construct.  But the end result is fabulous!  Another facet of her work are her hand painted vases,  lotion and soap dispensers with colorful dragons or koi fish.  You can also login to her website www.yvonnecheah.com to see samples of her art, but better, still, come see it in person!

Joy Lilly, also a newcome to the gallery, was a psychiatrist in another life.  She came out to the West Coast to help out her parent and, while here, decided to start a new venture.  Her chromatic anodized metal jewelry is something to behold.  Intense rainbow colors in aqua, teal, magenta dazzle the eyes.  Her very contemporary and streamlined designs are great for summer wear.

Although her work is not, at present, in the gallery, we will soon be welcoming, Jane Tipton.  Another jewelry artist, she combines precious stones and precious metals into exquisite designs.  Her one of a kind pieces are admirable pieces of art.  She has a collection of amulet necklaces with a story behind each one, and we do love those stories!  Jane will be joining the gallery toward the end of June.  Meanwhile, see some samples of her work at www.JaneTiptonDesigns.com .

I am very enthusiastic about these new artisans joining Austin's Gallery, but let's not forget our current batch of very talented and creative individuals: Valerie Hebert, fiber artist; Pete Holmes, photographer; Sandy Macanallan, textile art; Paul Nasri, pottery; Zoraida Payne, decorative painting; Joann Siegfried, watercolors; Jarose, sculpture.  Too see some samples of their works, come by the gallery or login to our website www.Austinsgallery.com or look us up on the .
