RSVP by Monday for Base's Holiday Open House

The annual holiday concert and movie takes place at North Island Saturday.

 

Naval Base Coronado is hosting its  at the Lowry Theater, Naval Air Station North Island, at 3 p.m. Saturday. But you must plan ahead and decide by Monday if you want to attend.

The holiday event features the film Elf, starring Will Farrell. Elf is rated PG, making it family-friendly, and tells the story of Buddy, a human adopted by elves. He gets thrust into life away from the North Pole and learns a thing or two about love and Christmas. 

There will also be a holiday performance by the Navy Region Southwest Band and the epitome of Christmas, Santa Claus, will be there for visits—bring your cameras!.

If you don’t have regular base access, you must RSVP by Monday. Call 619-545-8167 to reserve a spot at the open house. When you call, make sure you have your:

  • drivers license number
  • vehicle information,
  • license plate number
  • make and model of your car

This will ensure that you are granted access the day of the event. You also must bring current registration and proof of insurance Saturday.

Parking will be available behind the base theater, as well as across the street at the medical clinic lot, Bldg. 601, McCain Blvd.
